What is an accessible website?

An accessible website is one allowing people with disabilities to navigate in it and use it in a comfortable and efficient way as much as can be expected.

This can be done by enlarging all the website's fonts, easy movement from the site's parts without use of the mouse, applying increased contrast on text and images, the ability to stop and navigate during scrolling and animation, and so forth.

We make our utmost to offer our entire audience enjoyment from the site and naturally, any suggestions are very welcome.

User's manual

Visually impaired - Firstly, install a screen reader such as JAWS or Cobra. With the screen reader installed, press the Tab key to move to the next element or Shift+Tab to go back to the previous element. As soon as the website is loaded, pressing the Tab key will open an accessibility menu to direct and guide you onward.

Visually impaired - color blind - click "Accessibility" in the top part of the screen and from the pull down menu choose "Enhanced Contract" or "Only Shades of Grey", as you find preferable. In addition to having everything clearer with the color contrast, seek elements with an underline; these are usually links you can follow by clicking on them. You can turn this attribute off using the same process, only now you should choose "Turn Off Enhanced Contrast" or "Turn Off Only Shades of Grey", according to what you used before to turn it on.

Visually impaired - size - Press on Accessibility at the top part of the screen.  The accessibility menu will open now. In the part where you can see three A characters in different sizes, choose the biggest A to maximally enlarge all the texts or the medium A to enlarge, but not to the biggest. To turn off the enlargement, perform the same process, only this time choose the smallest A.

Hearing impairment - Since the website does not produce any audio effects at all, this is not a problem to deal with.

Those having difficulties using a mouse - Press the Tab key to move to the next element or Shift+Tab to go back to the previous element. As soon as the website is loaded, pressing the Tab key will open an accessibility menu to direct and guide you onward. Please notice that the accessibility menu includes buttons for skipping and moving to various parts of the website without going through all the elements. Use them; they are just for you :)

Epileptic and and those losing consciousness - Any time you see elements that move, scroll or include animations, seek the halting button, marked accordingly and with Hebrew text, indicating to stop the scrolling or animation. In most cases, you would be able to manually control the occurrence of the passages and/or animation with additional buttons such as "set auto scrolling", "go to next slide", etc.

The general user public - Should you encounter any problem or wish to get help, you may press the "Contact Us" button and follow the instructions.

Mandatory functionalities

Java Script - All of the current browsers allow to turn use of the Java Script language off.  It is important that you make sure that Java Script is on. Otherwise, most elements made accessible would not work properly.

CSS3 - Some of the animations and opening and closing menus use CSS3 based animations. The browser must support  it.
